Mohawk Valley Cat Care offers low cost spaying and neutering year round. Spaying/neutering your cat is extremely important, as not only does it help control the ever growing overpopulation of strays, but also contributes to a healthier, happier life for your cat. The one time low cost (which includes rabies and distemper vaccinations as well as deworming) is a simple step that they 110% recommend you invest in, for both you and your cat’s well-being.

Weekly spay and neuter clinics are performed at the CNY SNAP clinic in Cortland, N.Y. The clinics are held in conjunction with SOS (Shelter Outreach Services) who provided the veterinary resources.

Spay and Neuter Syracuse is a non-profit low cost spay and neuter clinic devoted to the sterilization of homeless animals and pets belonging to people of low income. This clinic also educates the public about cat overpopulation and responsible animal ownership.

SANS mission is to provide low cost spay and neuter services for low income households who have pets, students, veterans, and animal rescuers in the area.

They were established in 2010 by Diane Trowel of Oxford, N.Y. They are a 501c3 organization dedicated to helping animals by providing spaying and neutering assistance to pets and homeless dogs and cats from Chenango, Delaware and Otsego counties. They also help with emergency veterinarian services for dogs and cats. Their new building located at 65 North Washington Avenue was built by a foundation grant.
